Indore to lead in MP with 5 IT-parks by 2026:Govt to establish 4 more complexes in Ujjain, Rewa; expansion to generate over 25,000 jobs

In a bid to position Madhya Pradesh as a rising IT hub, the state government has fast-tracked the construction of IT parks across key cities, with Indore taking the lead. As the state gears up for an IT conclave today, officials are pointing the rapid progress of these parks, which are expected to generate employment for over 25,000 people, both directly and indirectly.
These parks, planned for Indore, Ujjain, and Rewa, will be developed using three models: plug-and-play spaces for rent, company-owned portions, and plots for companies to build their own structures.
City’s IT sector to expand with 5 parks by 2026
Indore, already home to three operational IT parks, Crystal IT Park, Atulya IT Park, and Singwasa IT Park is set to have five by January 2026. The ongoing work on IT Park 3 and IT Park 4 in the city is progressing rapidly, with an investment of ₹1,000 crore and ₹500 crore, respectively. IT Park 3 is projected to generate employment for 15,000 people, while IT Park 4 will create 4,000 jobs. Both parks, being developed on approximately 3 hectares of land, are expected to be completed by December 2025 and January 2026.
Ujjain and Rewa to host emerging IT Parks
The development of IT parks is not limited to Indore. In Ujjain, an IT park costing ₹46 crore is under construction near the engineering college, covering over 1.25 lakh square feet.
If demand rises, its capacity could expand to 3 lakh square feet. This park will be the first of its kind in Ujjain and aims to foster industrial growth while providing job opportunities for local youth.
Similarly, a ₹54 crore IT park is being built in Rewa near Sirmaur Square. Spanning approximately 1.5 lakh square feet, this park will be a ten-story building equipped with solar panels, earthquake resistance, and a rainwater harvesting system.
Indore’s growing IT presence and the need for more space
As Indore thrives as the number one city in the IT hub category B, outshining cities like Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and Jaipur, experts note that the city still requires more infrastructure. In the next two years, Indore will need one Special Economic Zone (SEZ) IT park and one non-SEZ IT park. To support this demand, a private-sector IT park, Panchshil Techno Park, will also be launched today by the Chief Minister.
The ideal destination for IT Companies
Indore’s rise as a prime IT destination is due to several key advantages. The city offers a lower cost of operation compared to metros like Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with affordable office spaces and housing. Additionally, Indore’s robust air connectivity, with daily flights to over 26 cities and upcoming international routes to Sharjah, Bangkok, Singapore, and Dubai, makes it an attractive location for businesses.
The city’s reputation for cleanliness, having been ranked the cleanest city in the country seven times, adds to its appeal. The circular settlement layout of Indore reduces daily commute times, unlike larger metros. Moreover, the city’s diverse food options, including street food certified by FSSAI for cleanliness, cater to the preferences of North Indian youth, unlike other southern cities.
Indore’s emergence as a growing IT hub is further bolstered by the presence of both IIT and IIM, making it the only city in the country with both prestigious institutions. Coupled with its expanding real estate market and proximity to large industrial units in Pithampur, Sanwer Road, and Rau, Indore is set to continue its upward trajectory as a key player in India’s IT landscape.
