SR Group to invest ₹1,000 crore in the hotel industry; signs MoU with Marriott International for three large luxury 5-star hotels in Indore; MP to get its first JW Marriott

The arrival of 5-star hotels in Indore continues, with three international 5-star hotels set to make their debut in the city. Hotel company Marriott International has signed an MoU with Indore-based industrialist and philanthropist Suraj Rajak’s company, SR Group. Under the agreement, three hotels—JW Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, and Four Points by Sheraton—will be developed in and around Indore.
The three hotels will be developed across a total area of 12.5 acres. JW Marriott will be developed on 3.5 acres of land along Indore’s Super Corridor, Courtyard by Marriott will be developed on 4 acres in Pithampur, and Four Points by Sheraton will be developed on 5 acres near Aurobindo in Indore.
The most notable aspect of this development is that JW Marriott will be making its debut in Indore, marking the first time the luxury hotel brand is entering Madhya Pradesh.
Industrialist Suraj Rajak stated that, due to the Madhya Pradesh government's business-friendly and industrial policies, companies from abroad are showing increasing interest in investing in the state. He said that, owing to the efforts of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as an attractive destination for international companies.
A total investment of ₹1,000 crore will be made in the construction of the three hotels, excluding an additional land cost of ₹400 crore. All three brands are looking to establish large hotels in India's rapidly growing cities, and these projects are part of that expansion strategy.
Industrialist Suraj Rajak said that the hotels will offer guests luxury, comfort, and a premium atmosphere. They will also cater to the growing demand for quality accommodation and spacious event halls.
JW Marriott Indore is expected to be known for its elegant architecture, exceptional service, and memorable guest experiences. Courtyard by Marriott Pithampur will offer luxury accommodation along with excellent business facilities for both domestic and international visitors as well as local guests. Meanwhile, Four Points by Sheraton Indore will be known for its quality service and comfortable stay experience.
During the signing of the MoU, SR Group Chairman Suraj Rajak, Marriott India's Director of Development Juhi Roy, Vice President of Development Annath Iyer, and Director of Operations Kiran were present.
JW Marriott: Madhya Pradesh's first hotel in Indore

The upcoming JW Marriott hotel in Indore will feature 250 rooms and suites. It will be the first JW Marriott hotel in Madhya Pradesh and is expected to be completed within three years.

The upcoming hotel in Indore will also feature the brand’s in-house restaurant, The Eatery, offering a selection of local and international cuisines.
