INDORE: Indore airport authorities have finally received final approval from the government for acquiring 20.4 acre of land identified near area for the expansion project.
As per officials of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, the district administration has given green signal to the airport authorities to initiate the process of acquiring the land identified for the airport’s expansion plan with completion of extension road of Super Corridor.
This road with a width of 75 meter has been constructed with an aim to shift traffic from the road passing near Bijasan Temple to pave way in for the airport’s expansion. Airport director Aryama Sanyal said that they had been waiting for a no-objection certificate (NoC) from the administration. “The NoC was pending only for completion of the 4km extension road of Super Corridor to connect with road.
The work has already been completed,” the director told TOI. She said that the airport authority does not need any NoC from the administration since it was pending only for completion of construction of the super corridor extension road and its opening for traffic. “The work has been completed and the process to acquire the land would be started within a week or so,” added the director.
