Narsee Monjee Institute to expand foot print in Madhya Pradesh with investment of Rs 300 crore

SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) deemed-to-be university is going to expand its footprint in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of around Rs 300 crore.NMIMS signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government at the recently concluded Global Investors' Summit 2012 in Indore.

"NMIMS is ready to expand its footprint in Madhya Pradesh which has evolved as one of the key education hubs of the country. The state of Madhya Pradesh has made significant progress and it was imperative for us to be partner in the growth story," said Dr Rajan Saxena, vice-chancellor of NMIMS. During the recent investor meet in Indore over 16 companies signed MoUs with Madhya Pradesh government for technical education and skill development. Under the MoUs, 406 skill development centres will be opened at block-level, 39 ITIs and 7 high-level ITIs where nearly 1.92 lakh youths will be trained in various trades.

 

Government to alot land at 10 cr to Narjee Monjee group

State government is allotting 51 acre land worth of 22 crore in Kalod Kartal area at 10 cr to Mumbai based Narsee Monjee group. Government is giving this land to group under a new investment policy of it.

It is noted that group signed MOU with government during Global Investors summit and discussion were on for land area to establish institute in city. Finally the group has decided about land and government will a lot it to them at 10 cr.

A proposal will be sent to administration after valuation and it will handed over to group after the approval. Speaking about this collector Akash Tripathi said, “We are sending proposal to government, we will proceed further after the approval from there”.
